Services

What we do

Every service here is tied to a bill

Ordered roughly by how much they move the needle in a Los Angeles home, from the HVAC system at the top to flooring at the bottom. We will tell you honestly which one to do first, including when the answer is none of them yet.

HVAC & Air Conditioning

Cooling is the biggest electricity line in most inland LA homes. A right-sized high-efficiency system cuts it, and we size it to the house rather than to the old label.

Roofing

A roof in Los Angeles is a heat decision as much as a water one. A reflective surface runs far cooler, and LADWP pays a rebate on it.

Plumbing Services

Water heating is the biggest gas line in a California home. Get that right and you have moved more money than most people move with windows.

Learn more

Cool Life Paint

A reflective ceramic coating up to 20 times thicker than paint. It waterproofs the wall, reflects heat instead of absorbing it, and ends the repaint cycle.

Learn more

Windows & Doors

Dual-pane Low-E glass that cuts afternoon heat gain, glare and street noise. LADWP pays $2 a square foot, and we will be straight with you about the payback.

Learn more

Electrical

The panel is the constraint. Solve it once, ahead of the heat pump, the EV charger and the induction range, and every later project gets cheaper.

Landscape & Hardscape

Outdoor use is over 30% of a household's water and up to half of it is wasted. Turf replacement currently pays $5.00 a square foot through LADWP.

Artificial Grass

No watering, no mowing, no water bill, green through August. We will also tell you where artificial grass is the wrong answer.

Kitchen Remodeling

The one time the walls are open. Induction, LED and efficient appliances cost almost nothing extra now and are expensive to retrofit later.

Learn more

Bathroom Remodeling

Built to stay dry, and specified so the water you save is also hot water you never paid to heat. Waterproofing you can see photographed before it is covered.

Flooring Installation

Straight answer: flooring is not an energy upgrade. What it can do is close the gaps, insulate over a crawlspace, and hold cool underfoot.

Where to start

Not sure which upgrade pays back first?

For most Valley homes the order runs: seal and insulate the attic, right-size the HVAC, deal with the water heater, then the glazing. Coating and turf reduce load and improve kerb appeal at the same time. We will assess your house and tell you the sequence, even when that means telling you to wait on something.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us first

Do you charge for estimates?

No. On-site estimates are free, and you get an itemized written scope rather than a single number on a business card. We would rather you compare us line by line.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes. RemodeLA Inc holds California CSLB license #1112118, Class B, General Building, in current and active standing, with a $25,000 contractor’s bond and workers’ compensation coverage. You can verify us directly on the CSLB website.

Do you handle permits?

Yes, for any scope that requires one. Electrical service upgrades, reroofs, HVAC changeouts and window replacement all typically do. Permits, Title 24 documentation, and inspection scheduling are included in what we quote.

Can you help with rebates and financing?

We will tell you which utility, state, and federal incentives your specific scope qualifies for, and what documentation the program needs. Financing options are available on larger projects.

What areas do you serve?

Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Van Nuys, Northridge, Studio City, Calabasas, Burbank, Glendale and the surrounding communities. Call us if you are just outside, because we probably still come to you.
